On November 20th, the first-ever Fincom Bar Talk, initiated by our partner agency Liminal and TE Communications, took place at the charming Winemakers Club in London. Numerous clients and professionals from the communications and marketing sectors of the financial industry gathered to exchange insights on current challenges and trends.
The venue was packed as Andreas Hippin from the Börsen-Zeitung and Sarah Provan from the Financial Times, moderated by Julian Rea, delved into pressing topics: How is financial communication evolving, and how do leading newsrooms navigate the tension between “information overload,” shrinking resources, and shorter attention spans? The discussion emphasized that quality should always take precedence over quantity, though it was acknowledged that focusing on volume can yield some short-term successes, even if such gains are likely to diminish over time.
This successful evening marks the beginning of an exciting new event series, which will continue in 2025 with more inspiring topics and formats. Initial ideas are already taking shape. A big thank you to all participants and contributors who made this evening a success!
