When AI answers questions about your company: What others learn before meeting you at EXPO REAL
Wenn KI über Ihr Unternehmen Auskunft gibt: Was Ihr Gegenüber vor dem Messetermin erfährt

A first impression often forms before a conversation takes place. Business partners, investors, journalists and other market participants visit a company’s website, read media coverage, review expert articles or look for information from independent sources. Today, their preparation may also include AI-assisted research.

That does not mean every EXPO REAL visitor starts a chat with an AI assistant before a meeting. It does, however, raise an additional question for companies: what impression do people form when they want a quick overview of a company they know nothing about?

TE Communications’ new Executive Briefing, “When AI answers questions about your company”, takes this question as its starting point. The focus is not on chasing a single mention in an AI answer. What matters is which publicly available information shapes perceptions of a company, which sources surface, and how corporate communications can address this objectively.

Five key takeaways from the Executive Summary

1. The first impression may come from an AI answer.

Clients and business partners can compare companies without visiting their websites. Management decides what should be clear before direct contact.

2. Not every search starts with a name.

People looking for suitable providers may not yet know their names. Services, experience and areas of expertise should therefore be clear from publicly available information.

3. Plan expert content, PR and SEO together.

Substantive original content, professional media relations and an accessible website provide a basis for AI-assisted research. A mention cannot be guaranteed.

4. Do not leave AI errors to the technical team alone.

Communications leaders and subject-matter experts work together to resolve incorrect information about responsibilities or services. Legitimate criticism is not an error.

5. Do not measure communications by clicks alone.

Information that remains useful over time also needs resources. What matters is how AI answers describe the company and what the audience takes away.

Have a specific question?

Companies do not need to draw hasty conclusions from individual AI answers. The more relevant issue is the underlying communications question: what information about the company should key stakeholders be able to find, understand and rely on? Which sources currently shape this impression? And where is there a substantive reason to take a closer look?

To discuss a specific question relating to your company, you can arrange an approximately 20-minute discussion with TE Communications. This is not a free, comprehensive audit. The purpose is to define the issue more clearly and establish whether taking it further would make sense.
